Landfills by Mia, Zahra, Nazella and Fifita

Mia, Zahra, Nazella and Fifita chose to share their learning by creating a short movie with a powerful message that makes you think about what happens inside our landfills if Reduce, Reuse and Recycle are overlooked. Fabulous work girls!

  1. Thanks for sharing Mia, Zahra, Nazella and Fifita. An explainer video is an effective way to communicate your important messages, well done.

    1. Thanks for your comment, Mrs Grant. We had so much fun making and planning the movie.

  2. Kia Ora Mia, Zahra, Nezella and Fifita, my name is Lily I go to Paihia School. I really like your presentation about Landfills. You have a very strong point because most of those things do not break down and they will just sit there for years and years and years. I think the way you presented it was very effective and it could make quite a difference if more people could have a look and see it. My reading group is doing something similar but we are particularly working on plastic bags in the ocean. I hope you make some more similar things like that because as I have said it is very effective.

My name is Astin and I go to Paihia school. I really liked your presentation especially how you presented it. It is very effective. Your presentation would make a lot more people see what is happening with plastic pollution, because some people don’t know what is happening.

  4. Kia Ora Mia, Zahra, Nazella and Fifita,
Your movie was so informative about how long certain things take to break down. I can’t believe plastic bags take 400 years to break down *-* mind blown! And plastic bottles never break down? WOW! Thank you for making that informative movie I learnt quite a lot about how long plastics take to break down.
