Kane explains the colour wheel

Teagan and Jacob explain the colour wheel

Teagan and Jacob made a Google presentation on colours. These are the things you can find out on, primary colours, secondary colours, cool/warm colours, hue, complimentary colours and tints and shades. This activity followed on from our 'Starry Night' collaborative challenge.

Room 9 were set a collaborative challenge. To be successful they needed to use their maths knowledge to help them create an enlarged reproduction of Van Gogh's 'Starry Night'.

The image above shows what the real painting looks like.

I think both teams successfully completed their collaborative challenge and Room 9 has a fabulous wall display as well.

Super Finn Review by Jacob

This is Jacob's outside brochure of the book, Super Finn. It is a really great book. The author is Leonie Agnew.
This is his inside brochure of the book, Super Finn. There is a lot of interesting words and drama. There are 2 main characters. One always gets in trouble and the other one is a good boy.

Crown Park Review by Asmah

Asmah created this brochure after reading the book Crown Park by Des Hunt. She enjoyed this story and found a great list of powerful words that she can use in her own writing.

Asmah, Kapri and Mahdia's Matariki Presentation

Asmah, Kapri and Mahdia have done a fabulous job of working collaboratively to create this informative presentation about Matariki.

Henry's Matariki Poster

These are some facts Henry found out about Matariki after reading the article 'Matariki Returns' with my reading group. One thing he didn't know was that Matariki is a sign to Maori that the hunting season is over.

Leila's Matariki Poster

This is my Matariki poster I have created for reading. We were put into our groups and we had to answer the questions then write facts down about Matariki. After we had finish the answers and questions, we had to create a matariki poster using Google draw. This is my poster I have finished.

Rowling Groups's Matariki Glossary

This is our collaboratively created glossary for Matariki. Rowling reading group worked together to create this presentation after reading an article about how Matariki is celebrated in the far north of the North Island of New Zealand.
