8 phases of the Moon

Tui, Kapri, Shantay and Samantha went to room 7 and presented our presentation about the 8 phases of the moon. The feedback they got was outstanding because their comments were very thoughtful and about the learning. The feedback from Mrs Miller was good because she told this group how well they spoke to her and how confident they were speaking and presenting it to her classroom.

Tui, Yvette, & Fine's Collaborative Paragraph

The Solar System is apart of the galaxy usually known as ‘The Universe’. The Solar System consists of eight planets, and more than a quadrillion amount of stars. In ancient times, people began to create constellations with the stars. Most people say that they’re able to probe the stars but do they realise stars are light years away from us, somewhere floating in lost gravity? Light Years away, Earth is spinning on its on axis. This process produces an illusion of day and night: One side of the Earth absorbs light from the Sun,  while the other side absorbs darkness. Because of the nuclear fusions happening inside the Sun, day is caused when  bright blue Sun rays hit Earth’s atmosphere, hiding stars from the naked human eyes. Astronauts who travel to space are trained so they’re able to help expand knowledge in space explorations and technology. We believe, that our solar system is unique

Why is Facebook is a Problem?

Shockingly, it has been discovered that one and a half billion people log onto Facebook everyday! With so many people using Facebook lots of problems are happening on this social networking site.

Firstly problems start happening when people write negative things about other people. Lots of people see these comments and start thinking the wrong thing. This is because people believe what is written. When rumours start it becomes serious and is called cyber bullying.

Cyber bulling is a huge problem because it affects a lot of people. Cyber bullies post false information which makes victims feel embarrassed and humiliated as other people are commenting on things that aren't true. This means Facebook can be misleading.

Misleading people is another danger of Facebook. You can pretend to be someone else, or you can be tricked by someone who is pretending to be someone else. To make sure you are safe think about who you are adding as a friend on Facebook.

Remember staying safe is one of the biggest problems on Facebook and is the most important thing. Think about what you post, what you read and what you comments on. With one and half billion users everyday things go wrong because on a social networking site everybody can see what you post.
