This is an info poster that I have done on how to use Google draw. We used the text box, the fill-colour bucket and word art. I have used clip art and a tech image.

Henry's Maths
DON'T SUBTRACT, ADD
- Moana has $81 and she gives her friend $18. How much money does Moana have left?
18 + 2 = 20
20 + 60 = 80
80 + 1 = 81
18 + 63 = 81 so 81 - 18 = 63
- Jake collected $75 from his pocket money to buy a present for his mum. The present only costs $39 so how much change does he have?
39 +1=40
40+30=70
70+5=75
39 + 36 =75 so 75 - 36=63 ✔
- Dad takes $93 with him to the fair. He comes back with $57. How much did he spend?
57 +3=60
60 +30=90
90+3=93
so 57+36=93 so 93-57=36✔
At the park the lolly seller has collected in $103.
She has to pay $88 out for buying lollies for the next day. How much money does she have left?
88+2=90
90+10=100
100+3=103
so 103 -88=15✔
- Sam has $110 and spends $89 on some playstation games he wanted. How much money does he have left?
89+1=90
90=20=110
so 110-89=21 ✔
- I start shopping with $64 and come home with $38. How much did I spend when I was out shopping?
38+2=40
40 +20=60
60+4=64
so 64 -38 =26✔
The hard thing was counting in my head.
- I wanted to collect $100 for charity, but only managed to get $82. How much less than $100 is that?
82+8=90
90+10=100
so 100-82=18 ✔
We were learning that sometimes we can use our adding strategies to help us solve subtraction questions. I found counting in my head difficult.

Room 9's Dance Lesson: by Asmah
Try our slideshow maker at Animoto.
Hi this is an Animoto slideshow Asmah made. It shows the dance lesson Room 9 had with Mrs Eeles.
Classroom comparisons over time
Room 9 worked together and used what they have learnt so far to help them brainstorm these ideas. The columns show what classrooms were like in 1900, are like now and might be like in 2100.

Maths Task by Phoenix
On Thursday 30th May with Miss Corbett we did maths the entire day we learnt what an architect is, it is someone who draws what the plans of what a house will look like when it is built. My classroom and myself made a poster of what our classroom looks like, learning about position and scale. We then got to design our own classroom it was really fun we loved it.
This is my classroom plan I hope you enjoy it.
Scale Plan by Teagan
This is my architect work.
We had Miss Corbett she gave us a maths task to do. Her sister is studying to be an architect. We had to use a meter ruler to measure the desks and tables and doors. We had to scale down 150 cm to 15 cm to make it fit into our page/plan of our classroom. Then we had to rule the desks, tables and doors out on another page. We then cut it out, glued it into position on our cardboard. We had to put the desks, tables and doors where they were in the classroom. This picture above is where we want the desks, tables and doors to be in our dream classroom. I had a lot of fun and want to do it again.

Room 9's day with Miss Corbett by Asmah
Hi, today we had Miss Corbett as our teacher and she told us that her smarty pants younger sister and that she is studying to become an Architect. We had to measure all the objects in Room 9 to learn about position and then scale it down from 1.5 metres to 150 centimetres to 15 centimetres We measured the objects length and width. Miss Corbett said that every house there is a plan, map and she told us about dimensions.
Drawing a scale plan: Kateraena

- position
- architect
- plan
- map
- ratio
- model
- width
- length

Study Ladder: Kateraena
This is my study ladder results, I've done well, and improved, study ladder is a good on-line game to play for your knowledge.
