Whale tail - Harakeke and Kete by Jaylee
The fish on the whale tail describe the sea and how whales live in the sea with different kinds of fishes . I did different colours of fishes because in the sea there are more and different fishes who have different colours . The harakeke is showing respect to Maori people for how they make things out of the harakeke leaves . The harakeke fibre was used for ropes, fishing lines and net making .
My whale tail is going forward to describe a kete hanging up on a washing line as you can see . I did three main colours on a kete to show , many love and respect goin through . The reason why i did yellow and red and a light pink its because it shows love and enjoy on how maori people enjoy making a kete
