Te Taiao o Tamaki Hangouts

What a great morning we are having in LS2! Today our Manaiakalani schools are celebrating our cluster wide inquiry at Te Oro with presentations and performances. Not all of us were able to attend so the wonderful live stream enabled us all to be a part of the learning celebrations. We began by watching Glenbrae students present their inquiry. It was really interesting to see the learning other schools have been doing. When it was time for the PBS performance we all sat glued to our screens.

Listening to the Glenbrae students present their learning.

Watching our own Panmure Bridge School performance.

Sanujan's Animation

Sanujan created this wonderful animation to show one of the effects of throwing rubbish down our stormwater drains. A powerful message presented in a creative way. Great work Sanujan!

This inforgraphic is about the Kokako bird. The Kokako is a bird that can be found in the North and South island but it is very rare to see one.

Kokako facts by Mia

To show our understanding of the Kokako Bird we made an info-graphic about it. We also added images to show the appearance of the bird.  Did you know that the Kokako bird prefers to leap then fly. I also didn't know that that it was a native bird to New Zealand.

Camp collage by Javeylor

Last week LS2 went to cam, we had an amazing time with the fun activities and the delicious food. This collage showcases some of the amazing things we did at camp. I added pictures of archery, camp high ropes, scavenger hunt, our falls trip, high ropes, and the pools. My favourite activity was high ropes because it challenged me.

This is my infographic about the Kokako bird. I learnt a lot of interesting facts that I did not know about this bird. One interesting fact that I learnt was that they often eat buds, nectar and invertebrates. I learnt about this bird because the camp that my class went to was named after this bird.

This photo collage was about camp at Hunua Falls. Each picture shows the fun my group had at each activity.

Camp Brochure by Oh Hsen

This is my camp brochure. I worked with Josh to complete it. It couldn't fit on one DLO so we had to make two. This brochure required six panels and it had to have photos. One panel is different from the others. This is because we thought that the back deck was very useful and we did a lot of activities there Like aerobics and mini gamesTh

Kokako Infographic by Oh Hsen

This is an infographic on the Kokako bird. I worked with Fraidoon to complete it. The facts are really interesting, one fact that I did not include was that both North and South Island Kokako birds are really low in numbers. This infographic required Kokako's diet, habitat, predators, appearance, three interesting facts and attributed images.
