Battle Of The Mountains

Mount Tongariro:

Mount Tongariro is a strong brave mountain. He a fit agile mountain that could move really quickly. He was fit and a tenacious warrior who fought for his love for Pihanga.

Mount Pihanga:

Pihanga was a beautiful mountain. Tongariro and Taranaki both fought for Pihanga love. She was a caring lady they was protective of this. She was a loving gentle mountain who didn’t want this to happen.

Mount Taranaki:

Mount Taranaki was an angry selfish mountain. All he cared about was himself. He fought with Tongariro and lost. He was a devious mountain who had had two other mountains sneak attack Tongariro. He was jealous of Tongariro and Pihanga.

Mount Tauhara:

Mount Tauhara was a sneaky little coward. He was not brave and was very chicken hearted. Him and Putauaki both came up behind Tongariro and cheap shot him. Tauhara was very romantic he loved Pihanga but knew she could never be with him.

Mount Putauaki:

Mount Putauaki was just like Tauhara except he was as romantic. He was a sneaky chicken hearted coward.

Teagan and Jacob explain the colour wheel

Teagan and Jacob made a Google presentation on colours. These are the things you can find out on, primary colours, secondary colours, cool/warm colours, hue, complimentary colours and tints and shades. This activity followed on from our 'Starry Night' collaborative challenge.

This is my architect work.

We had Miss Corbett she gave us a maths task to do. Her sister is studying to be an architect. We had to use a meter ruler to measure the desks and tables and doors. We had to scale down 150 cm to 15 cm to make it fit into our page/plan of our classroom. Then we had to rule the desks, tables and doors out on another page. We then cut it out, glued it into position on our cardboard. We had to put the desks, tables and doors where they were in the classroom. This picture above is where we want the desks, tables and doors to be in our dream classroom. I had a lot of fun and want to do it again.

New Zealand Timeline from 1908 - 2004

Teagan, Kyra, Deannika, Kataraena, Puke, Pah Nwee and Henry worked collaboratively on this research task. Their challenge was to find three facts about each event, summarise their information and record their findings in their own words. Each slide acknowledges the websites where they found their information if you would like to read about these events in more detail.
