Queen Elizabeth ll DLO - by Emmanuel
Today we have been looking at the history of Queen Elizabeth II. We thought of questions that we had in mind, to research about and get more information into the Royal family. We did this research to give respect to our well honoured Queen who has been in the longest reigning monarch for Britain. Each group looked at her background, example: at what year or age she became the Queen of England.
A new information that we have found was that her favourite colour was blue so we made the DLO blue to represent her.
Tongan Language Week - by Siale
LI: To celebrate and learn the Tongan culture
For Tongan Language week LS2 was set with a task to explain the tongan culture aspects. We learnt Tongan words and facts. One of our favourite facts is that Tonga is the only country that has not been colonised.
We also learnt about the tongan flag and the meaning behind the red cross and what it symbolises.
The activities we did were/ learned: Tongan Conversations(Eg: Person 1: Malo e lelei, fefe hake. Person 2: Sai pe malo). Tongan food like otai(watermelon drink) , how to say different colours in tongan like lanu moli/orange and numbers and facts about Tonga. We learnt a lot about the Tongan culture and what the traditions are.
We enjoyed this activity because it helped me learn from others and embrace the tongan culture.

Professor Stephen Hawking | Sanujan, Alex, Jack, Julian
This week for inquiry Learning Space 2 were researching about Professor Stephen Hawking. Sadly on the 14 of March 2018 Professor Stephen Hawking Died by ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). Professor Stephen Hawking was a Theoretical physicist who had a rare disease called Motor Neuron Disease. Our task was to create a DLO (Digital Learning Object) explaining how he died, who he was, why he was famous. I really loved making this DLO because on slide 5 you can see a Simpson version of Professor Stephen Hawking. For this task I worked collaboratively with Jack, Alex and Julian.

Kokako Infographic by Oh Hsen
This is an infographic on the Kokako bird. I worked with Fraidoon to complete it. The facts are really interesting, one fact that I did not include was that both North and South Island Kokako birds are really low in numbers. This infographic required Kokako's diet, habitat, predators, appearance, three interesting facts and attributed images.
