This maths game that I have created helps you practice your 6,7,8 times table which we should all consider practicing. If you get the correct answer then you will see that I have created a maths icon moving using a gif maker. If you get the wrong answer then there is two buttons, the first one is provided for you to try again and the second one is linked to a video that can help you practice your time table using your fingers. There is also a home button if you wanted to try another time tables. Creating this game really challenge me to think of the wrong answer and the right answer. Thinking about my layout and theme was important so it was clear to see what I included. Also thinking about my font and the size of my equations and answer were important so people could read what was on each slide. First we would plan out the layout for our games and the questions we were going to include in our maths book. Then we would start to create our games using google presentation. At the end of my game I have a link that leads you to a from where you can leave feedback. This was a really interesting task as we all got to use our digital drawing skills.Overall I was really happen how my game turned out because all the positive feedback was given to help me improve. Thank you

Gymnastics by Angela
Today we had our second session of Gymnastic. We first started with making our body flexible. We then went thought our activity. This is a DLO that we have created to compare our selves with a profession gymnastic. We compared our eye contact, our body shape and how our hands were position. My favourite activity in gymnastics was the trampoline we needed to do dive rolls. This was quite easy for me as I already knew how to roll.
Waltzing Matilda by Mele and Angela

This week for reading we have been looking at different types of ballad poems. The ballad poem that we talked about was the Waltzing Matilda. The Waltzing Matilda poem is a ballad poem, created by Banjo Paterson. Angela and I worked collaboratively to create this activity. Listening to the poem, we used our inference strategy to draw the clues in the poem. In my image I have included the features, of a Swagman lying underneath a coolibah tree. We unpacked the language in the poem and identified what each word meant in it's own context. Above shows the summary that Angela and I have written together. We added 20 important words from the text, 6 most important words, and we used the 6 words to sum a whole summary about our story.

Kiwi Can by Angela

This week we went to Kiwi can. Today we were learning about different tones of voices. What are the different tones of voices. There can be a happy, sad and angry tone of voice. Its important that the different tone of voice we give people do not a affect them in a bad way. When then did a recap of what we talked about last week. We talked about active listening what it is and where we can show it. Active listening means listening and we can show this in class or at home. When then played our Energizer called Fruit salad. What we needed to do was Mrs Paige gave each fruit an action and if you do the action right we stay standing if we do the wrong action we sit down. Then we did an activity which was called Negative and Positive role play. What we needed to do was act out a scenario that Mrs Paige gave us in a negative way and how we could change that in a positive way.

Teamwork by Angela
L.I to define teamwork by creating a sketchnote.
Today as a group we have created a sketchnote to define what teamworks means. We have came up with
5 ideas that define teamwork. I worked with Giovanni, Jack, Julian, Chavda & Nidhi. As a team we
completed this activity. We first explained our ideas with each other to pick the best. The character
that was on the DLO was Clarence I created it in one of my drawing tasks.

Collaborative Comprehension | The Battle Of The Somme
This week, we did something really different. What we did was collaborative comprehension. This means we collaborate and work as a team to complete our set task. However the only difference was, we didn't work in groups. Rather we worked in pairs. Since this task was in reading, we were to choose a person from Ms Kirkpatrick's group to be our partner. After we got into our pairs, we started on our task. Our task was to infer a story called The Battle Of The Somme. After we read the context we were to answer many varieties of questions that link to this context. This task links to Mrs Anderson's Inquiry sessions. They inquiry sessions were about Peace. For this task I worked collaboratively with Angela.

Auckland to Pyeongchang - By Angela
I created this DLO that shows how far away Pyeongchang is from Auckland I now know Pyeongchang is in South Korea. South Korea is a country near China and Japan. I know that Seoul is the capital of South Korea. One fact I found interesting was that the Korean flag has the yin yang sign in the middle of it. Yin yang mean dark bright.
