Winter Learning Journey 2017

It was great having Rachel coming back to Panmure Bridge School to inspire our students to take part in this year's Winter Learning Journey. Ms Kirkpatrick and Mrs Anderson are looking forward to reading all the blog posts from LS2 as they take in the virtual sights on their 'Great Kiwi Road Trip'. 

Winter Solstice by Sanujan and Joshua W

Sanujan and Joshua W have made an animation of the Winter Solstice. They have added in interesting facts. They have also added in how the Northern Hemisphere is currently Summer and the Southern Hemisphere is Winter.  Using their smart searching skills they have made a reference slide with their websites they have used. 

Winter and Summer Solstice by Shannon and Fraidoon

This animation was created by Shannon and Fraidoon. They have explained the process of how the earth orbits around the sun. Did you know that it takes one whole year for the earth to orbit right around the sun? They have done a great job making this creative animation. 

Winter and Summer Solstice Animation by Jeremiah and Ofa

This animation is made by Ofa and Jeremiah. This is about the winter solstice and the summer solstice and was based on Matariki. These boys have used their creative thinking by using the Lions and All Blacks supporters gears in this which is great. 

Breaking News: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Daniel, Shannon, Sylis, Te Wai, Harlem, Jeremiah, CJ, AJ and Mathias chose to make a movie to share their learning about Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Well boys, a great job well using the green screen for the first time!

Landfills by Mia, Zahra, Nazella and Fifita

Mia, Zahra, Nazella and Fifita chose to share their learning by creating a short movie with a powerful message that makes you think about what happens inside our landfills if Reduce, Reuse and Recycle are overlooked. Fabulous work girls!
